I’m Delana!
I’ve spent most of my life following the expected path. You know, go to college, get a job, get married…
…well, I stopped at the getting a job part 😉
But ultimately found that that path, the one that was expected, wasn’t at all what I wanted.
Maybe you’ve felt the same way.
So in 2012, I did something no one expected.
I moved.
I moved to Orlando, Florida to be closer to Walt Disney World. If we’re just meeting for the first time, you’ll quickly learn I’m a Disney fanatic!
It was a big deal because I moved to a place where I knew no one. It was just me and my baby girl (pup), Jasmine. We were ready to take on the world! And we did! Disney World that is!
I was fortunate enough to transfer the job I had at the time so I had a job when I moved. Soon after that, I started working part time at Disney World (a literal dream come true! ✨) And shortly after that, I got an offer to start working from home full time for a major tech company. It was still customer service but I was stoked for the opportunity after spending 12 years in retail.
By 2016, I realized I was stuck in a dead end job with the same rules and restrictions that came with any other 9-5 job. I just happened to be able to do it from home.
The thing was, I was working from home. I LOVED that part! But hated being stuck in a schedule that had very little flexibility. In a position that led nowhere. Working for someone else, working set hours I had no control over. Very little opportunity for advancement. What was the point?
And when I say I loved working from home, I mean I LOVED it. Getting to stay home all day with my dog, I mean what?!
But I wanted the freedom to work when and where I wanted.
So I quit.
Pretty much on a whim. I mean, I gave 2 weeks notice, but I didn’t have much of a back up plan. I just knew things would work out.
Because they had to.
I started researching work from home jobs that actually gave you flexibility. And I found virtual assistant work.
I started my business so I could help businesses like yours.
I've always had a very strong passion for computers and a knack for learning new things quickly.
It was time I put that to use! And this seemed absolutely perfect!

I have been working with amazing people ever since! To help them grow their businesses in ways they never thought possible because they just didn’t have enough time, enough hands, or enough tech skills to make it happen on their own.
It’s been a dream come true.
Then, in June of 2020, while we were all still stuck at home, the day I always dreaded came.
I lost my dear, sweet Jasmine.
It was fairly unexpected and completely devastating. After 13 years together, she was no longer by my side.
As much as I miss her, and believe me, it’s more than I could ever describe in words, her passing has opened up the opportunity for me to travel a lot more.
And the ability to pet sit while I travel! Because I really miss having her around. ❤️🩹
Last year I spent 3 months in St. Louis taking care of my friend’s dog, Aurora, while they spent 3 months in Greece!
I have visited Tulsa 3 times (it’s my new favorite place in the world!) with the last stay being nearly 2 weeks watching after a sweet kitty. And I get to go back to stay with her again soon!
Got a couple more trips and a move up my sleeve soon too!
