There’s a moment that happens in almost every solopreneur’s journey.

You’re growing. You’ve got clients or content or courses rolling.
And suddenly the systems you pieced together no longer work the way they used to.

Your inbox is a mess.
Your project management tool feels more like a graveyard.
Your automations? You’re not even sure what’s firing anymore.

And somewhere between “I’ll figure this out” and “I’ll just do it manually for now,” the backend of your business becomes a tangled mess.

While Tangled is one of my favorite moves, I don’t want your tech to be tangled.

If that’s where you are right now — you’re not alone.
And you’re not doing anything wrong.

You just outgrew your old systems.

Signs your business backend is too chaotic:

If any of these feel familiar, it’s time to hit pause and look under the hood:

✨ You dread opening your email marketing platform

✨Your to-do list lives in three different tools (and your brain) and probably a scrap of paper that’s in a pair of jeans in the hamper

✨ You’re manually doing tasks that should be automated

✨ You avoid launching because tech setup feels exhausting

✨ You want to hire help, but you’d be embarrassed to hand off what you’ve got

Sound familiar?

Take a deep breath — you’re not broken. You’ve just reached a new season of business. One that calls for clarity, not complexity.

The “Calm Backend” Approach

You don’t need to fix everything overnight.

But you do need to stop letting the chaos sit in the background draining your energy. We are all about having a calm, quiet backend over here (and by we, I mean me 😉) and that’s what I want for you too, my friend.

Here’s a calm, low-pressure way to get started:

1. Pick your pain point

What feels the most broken right now?
Start with one area — email marketing, task management, client onboarding — and zero in on that.

2. Map out your actual workflow

How are you currently doing it? Even if it’s messy, get it all out of your head and onto paper (or a Google Doc). This gives you clarity and reveals where things are falling apart.

3. Ask: “What would make this easier?”

Would a template help? A better tool? A done-for-you solution? Get curious about what you actually need — not what you think you “should” do.

4. Simplify

Cut the fluff. Maybe you don’t need 12-step automations. Maybe you don’t need five tools — just one that’s set up correctly. Less is more here.

5. Get support if you need it

You don’t have to DIY it all. Sometimes a second set of eyes (or hands) can get you untangled in an hour or two, so you can move forward.
